The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing started, since September 2014, the information campaign at national level within the public sector.
Thus, with the help of the Damboviţa and Prahova county Prefect institution, several meetings with the theme “Personal data protection in the local public administration”, in order to increase the level of information of the public authorities’ representatives with regard to the rules applicable to the processing of personal data took place.
To these reunions, organized on the 10th of September 2014 in Târgovişte and on the 3rd of October 2014 in Ploieşti, the representatives of the local public administration and of the decentralized public services at county level were invited.
We also state that these events are part of the campaign started by the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing at the beginning of this year with regard to the increase of the public awareness concerning the protection of the personal data, the data controllers’ obligations, as well as the rights of the data subjects.
