EDPD Plenary – October 2022
During the European Data Protection Board Plenary, held in October 2022, the Statement on the design choices for a digital euro from the privacy and data protection perspective, by reference also to the intention to prepare an European regulation intended for the introduction of the euro digital currency, was adopted.
Also, a list of procedural aspects proposed to be further harmonized at EU level, with a view of ensuring the effectiveness of the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation, was adopted.
