The National Supervisory Authority finalized in October this year an investigation at the controller Das Sense Society SRL to which it applied a fine, following the fact that it did not provide the information requested by our institution, thus breaching the provisions of Article 58 paragraph (1) correlated with the provisions of Article 83 paragraph (5) letter e) from the General Data Protection Regulation.

Therefore, Das Sense Society SRL was sanctioned with fine in amount of Lei 4,950, the equivalent of EUR 1,000.

The investigation was started following a complaint through which it was reported that at the working point of the controller surveillance cameras that were registering both on the public domain (sidewalk and street) and on the private domain (access ramp and stairs in a housing complex, access to a supermarket) were installed.

Within the investigation performed, following the fact that the controller did not respond to our information request, the breach of the provisions of Article 58 paragraph (2) of the General Data Protection Regulation was found and the sanction with fine of Das Sense Society SRL was taken.
